The preview cookie

The password gate is currently switched off, and this site does not currently set a preview-access cookie. If the gate is re-enabled, entering the correct password will set __Host-almajour_preview. It contains a signed access token, not the password or a member profile. It remembers that this browser may view the preview for up to 12 hours on that hostname. It is marked Secure, HttpOnly and SameSite=Strict.

Your choice

The cookie is needed only if you choose to enter the private preview. Clearing it in your browser signs you out; the next visit asks for the password again. Blocking cookies prevents the preview sign-in from working. Each address has its own access cookie.

No advertising or analytics cookies

The preview site includes no advertising pixels and sets no advertising or analytics cookies. Cloudflare, which hosts the site, measures basic visit statistics, such as page views and how quickly pages load, using a small script it provides (Cloudflare Web Analytics). Cloudflare states that this script does not use cookies or local storage and does not track individual visitors across other websites. Cloudflare may use security or challenge technology as needed to deliver and protect the site; its own handling is separate from the access cookie described here.

Technical connection data
